Summer Camp Language Course (Young Adults)

The language course comprises 20 lessons of 45 minutes length each, which concentrate on learning and actively using French. The school caters for all abilities from beginners to more advanced French speakers and there are a maximum of 15 students per class. Most students are taught in classes with other 16 – 18 year olds on the Young Adults programme. The most advanced students (B2) will be taught in advanced adult classes open to students 16+. (Please refer to our page on Language Proficiency Levels for further guidance.)

Tuition is very much practice oriented, you will participate in group sessions alongside other students of a similar level, with lessons focused on improving all aspects of the language; speaking listening, reading and writing. There are 4 classes per day and these take place during the morning. During the afternoon there is a varied programme of supervised leisure activities, visits and excursions to introduce you to French culture, sports and lifestyles.

You will be given a written assessment before you travel and a speaking assessment on the first morning before lessons in order to place you in the group most suited to your ability level. Classes have an international flavour and a lively feel because they are grouped by ability not nationality.
