Au Pair and Study
Set in the stunning of Lindau, our Au Pair and Study course (sometimes referred to as “Demi Pair”) gives students the opportunity to study German alongside working as an Au Pair with a German family. This is a cultural exchange rather than a job and students are fully immersed in German family life and culture while taking daily lessons at the language school. On the Au Pair and Study course you would be welcomed into the home of your German hosts as a member of the family and in return you would assist with childcare, light housework and help the children of the house with their English.
This course is suitable for students who have a good grasp of the German language (B1 level or a post A Level or equivalent) to advanced German speakers.
Your programme would last from 6 months to a year depending on your requirements although a shorter stay can sometimes be arranged. You will need previous experience of caring for children in some capacity.
The Au Pair and Study course is a popular choice for school or college leavers before university, as a gap year or career break option.
Students must be aged between 18 and 30 years.
Popular starting dates are September and January though it is possible to start anytime throughout the year depending on availability.
Location
The language school is situated right in the centre of the old town on the scenic island of Lindau with a breath-taking view of Lake Constance and the Alpes. It is located on the upper floor of a historical building nestled right in the harbour of this historic and beautiful town.
The school boasts modern classrooms, a cafe with a terrace, an info-library, a media library with computer suite, movie room, common room and Wi-Fi. This alongside the highly qualified and experienced teaching staff gives students in Lindau a truly unforgettable learning experience.

There are four, 45 minute lessons per day and these take place during the morning from 09:00 to 12:30.

Classes have an international flavour and a lively feel because they are grouped by ability not nationality or age.
