For students aged 14 – 17 years, this course is a perfect combination of lessons and fun! The course combines formal classroom tuition with a varied programme of leisure activities, visits and excursions to introduce the students to German culture, sports and life.
This course is available between 29/06/2025 – 10/08/2025 and runs from Sunday to Sunday.
Please note that the minimum stay is 2 weeks.
Location
Set just north of the Alps, the Bavarian capital city Munich is a stunning place to visit. It is the third largest German city behind Berlin and Hamburg and benefits from being well connected and modern yet still hosts a wealth of historic and beautiful buildings.
Munich is regarded as one of the most hospitable and safe big cities in the world. The summer school staff live with you in a modern residence right in the heart of the city and your German lessons take place in the same building, giving the perfect base from which to explore.
Only three tram stops away is the city square, Marienplatz, and countless sights and attractions. With a local public transport travel pass included in the trip and under the supervision of the summer camp staff – it couldn’t be simpler to discover Munich!
Language Course
The language course comprises 20 lessons of 45 minutes length each, which concentrate on learning and actively using German. The school caters for students with a basic level of German to more advanced German speakers. The tuition is very much practice oriented, you will participate in group sessions alongside other students of a similar level, with lessons focused on improving all aspects of the language; speaking listening, reading and writing. There are 4 classes per day and these take place during the morning. Outside of lesson times there is a varied programme of leisure activities, visits and excursions to introduce you to German culture, sports and lifestyles.
You will be given a written assessment before you travel and a speaking assessment on the first morning before lessons in order to place you in the group most suited to your ability level. Classes have an international flavour and a lively feel because they are grouped by ability not nationality.
