Intensive Spanish Course
Intensive Language Course
These courses are available throughout the year starting every Monday. Students can travel for a week, two weeks or longer. We are able to tailor packages to suit your requirements and the time you have available.
Courses are available for all abilities of language skill from complete beginners to degree level and business Spanish.
You may also be interested in pairing a language course with a work experience placement by enrolling on our popular Work and Study courses.
Location
Valencia, Spain's third largest city, is on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. This beautiful Spanish language school is located deep in the heart of Valencia's old town, just a step away from all the interesting sights and services. The four storey former palace has been carefully renovated into a stunning language school that compliments history with modernism. Inside the school you will see walls from its 11th Century Arab roots which penetrate through the classrooms and open spaces, creating both an atmosphere of history and mystique. There are 28 classrooms, all of which are filled with natural light, have full air-conditioning facilities and interactive whiteboards. If studying in a stunning location rich in history isn't enough, during breaks students can also make the most of the relaxed, well equipped social spaces, use the computers and wifi, enjoy the reading area with books and magazines, relax on a choice of two patios or bask in the sunshine on the breathtaking roof terrace, complete with sun loungers, fruit trees and a shower in which to cool off.
Language Course
The core course comprises 20 lessons which concentrate on learning and actively using Spanish. The tuition is very much practice oriented. You will participate in group sessions alongside other students of a similar level, with lessons focused on improving all aspects of the language; speaking listening, reading and writing. There are 4 classes per day and these take place during the morning or afternoon. This course is designed for students who wish to learn or improve their Spanish, meet new people and have some free time to participate in Spanish culture and life in Valencia. The core course of 20 lessons also combines very well with a work experience option in our Work and Study package.
For students who want a more intensive experience, it is possible to add up to two of the following additional modules (for an additional cost):
- Five Spanish Life and Culture classes.
- Five Spanish Grammar Classes.
- Five Spanish Pronunciation and Speaking Classes
There is also an option of five individual classes throughout the week (for an additional cost), the content of which will be decided by you in advance. We will ask you before you travel what you would like to cover with your tutor during these individual sessions, for example grammar, a specific thematic topic, conversation or pronunciation. It is possible to select the five individual classes option alongside the core course of 20 lessons only or alongside the core course of 20 lessons and one of the additional modules of five classes above. It is not possible to select the five individual classes option alongside the core course of 20 lessons and two of the additional modules of five classes.
You will be given a written assessment before you travel and a speaking assessment on the first morning before lessons in order to place you in the group most suited to your ability level. Classes have an international flavour and a lively feel because they are grouped by ability not nationality or age.
Optional Social and Cultural Programme
The school offers a range of activities during the week, as well as longer full day excursions at the weekends. These are available for a charge and you can book through reception during your stay. You will be introduced to the activities as part of your induction on your first day. These activities change weekly but include the following:

Accommodation
For students wanting to completely immerse themselves in the Spanish language and culture we recommend that you stay with one of our carefully selected Spanish hosts. They will not only introduce you to the Spanish way of life and help you practise the Spanish language but will also give you a taste of local and delicious regional specialities. Host accommodation is situated within 45 minutes total journey time of the school and provides half board (breakfast & evening meal) from the Sunday before your course starts to the Saturday after it finishes. Subject to availability, an extra day on one side of your trip may be available on request to facilitate flight dates.
Students of 17 years or older also have the option of staying in one of the school self catering residences with other international students; single rooms are available. Students can also choose a single room in a shared apartment where they will share a bathroom and kitchen with other students from the language school.
Transfers
Transfers can be arranged for a fee on request. Alternatively, we can provide directions and all the details you need to use public transport - the efficient and clean Metro runs straight from the airport to the city centre in only 20 minutes.
School Closures
The school will be closed on 09/10/24, 01/11/24, 06/12/24, 06/01/2025, 19/03/2025, 18/04/2025, 21/04/2025, 01/05/2025, 09/10/2025 and 08/12/2025. During these weeks the school replaces lessons with a local excursion.

Spanish school was great to experience. Every member of staff at the school had a smile on their face, no matter what they were doing or who they were speaking to. My first morning lessons were held by Alessandro who made everything very clear to understand and enjoyable too! My second session in the day was held by Paula who was so enthusiastic to teach Spanish as well as about all the students in the class.

Longer stays
Students are welcome to book into the school for any number of weeks. Many students will travel to the school for long (12 weeks+) at a time, even starting from limited or no level in the language. We have prices for 1-4 weeks on our website. We are able to arrange any duration of stay at the language school. Contact us if you would like a package that we have not listed.
