Spanish Spring/Summer Camp
For students 13 – 17 years old, these courses are an excellent way of giving young students the opportunity to spend time in Spain learning and enjoying the great variety of activities provided by the language school.
The school provide supervision whilst enabling young people the chance to discover this fantastic city, learn the language the experience the culture.
This course is Sunday arrival and Sunday departure.
Please note: For the Spring dates, students must have at least level A1 Spanish. The course is not suitable for complete beginners.
Location
Benalmadena is a friendly coastal town on the Costa del Sol, situated on a hill at the foot of the beautiful Mijas mountains range. Originally a sleepy Andalusian fishing village with beautiful white washed houses, Benalmadena has developed into a lively and animated town which retains its old charm and character.
Young people find Benalmadena a great destination as it is small enough to provide a peaceful and secure environment, while large enough to offer fantastic amenities. With its amusement park, water park, outdoor cinema, modern shopping centre, aquarium, sports centre, extensive beach and parks, there is never any danger of being bored!
Benalmadena is situated only 18 km from Malaga city and 8 km from Malaga international airport.
The Spanish Language School is located in a modern building right in the centre of Benalmadena. It boasts 20 large, sunny classrooms, all with air conditioning and the latest audio-visual technology to enable students to learn Spanish in a contemporary and innovative way. There is also a library containing a wide range of material, a 25-seat cinema, a large sun terrace with cafe, student common room and free WiFi access throughout the school.
Language Course
The language course comprises 20 lessons of 45 minutes length each, which concentrate on learning and actively using Spanish. The school caters for all abilities from beginners to more advanced Spanish speakers. The tuition is very much practice oriented, you will participate in group sessions alongside other students of a similar level, with lessons focused on improving all aspects of the language; speaking listening, reading and writing. There are 4 classes per day and these take place during the morning. During the afternoon there is a varied programme of supervised leisure activities, visits and excursions to introduce you to Spanish culture, sports and lifestyles.
You will be given a written assessment before you travel and a speaking assessment on the first morning before lessons in order to place you in the group most suited to your ability level. Classes have an international flavour and a lively feel because they are grouped by ability not nationality.
Activities
At the welcome meeting on the first day of your course you will receive a detailed weekly programme of activities with a timetable and meeting points. The Spring and Summer Camp activities include:
- Sports activities: volleyball, basketball, swimming, badminton, table tennis
- Daily dance lessons: Sevillanas, Salsa and other Latino dances
- Beach sports
- Mini-cruise to Fuengirola
- Visit to the aquarium
- One half day visit to Malaga, Marbella, Mijas or Nerja
- One full day excursion to Ronda, Granada, Cordoba or Seville
- Evening entertainment: sports, social games, wii, movies in the school, Tivoli
- World Amusement Park
- Disco party
- Supervision at all times from the teachers and entertainment team

Transfers
Transfers from Malaga airport are included in the price of this package.
School Closures
Due to public holidays on 18/04/2025 and 15/08/25 lessons are replaced with a full day excursion.
