For students aged 16–19, the Valencia Summer Camp is an excellent way to learn Spanish while socialising with other students of a similar age from around the world.
During the mornings, students take an immersive 20-lesson language course to boost their skills and confidence. In the afternoons and evenings there is a varied programme of supervised leisure activities, visits and excursions to introduce students to Spanish culture, sports and lifestyles.
The school provides supervision for group activities whilst giving young people the freedom to discover the fantastic city of Valencia, having fun learning and socialising with other students.
This course is Sunday arrival and Saturday departure. Lessons run from Monday to Friday. There is a full-day excursion every Saturday. Students staying for one week only need to book an extra night at the end of the summer camp to take part in the excursion.
The Summer Camp runs from 16/06/25 to 18/08/25. The minimum booking is one week, but many students stay for two or more weeks.
Valencia, Spain’s third largest city, sits on the country’s Mediterranean coast. The beautiful Spanish language school is tucked away deep in the heart of the old town, just a few steps away from the city’s beautiful sights and essential services. The four storey former palace has been carefully renovated into a stunning building where modernism complements history. Inside the school, walls from the original 11th Century Arab building are visible in the classrooms and open spaces, creating an atmosphere of history and mystique.
The 28 classrooms are filled with natural light, and are equipped with air-conditioning and interactive whiteboards. If studying in a stunning location rich in history isn’t enough, students can also make the most of the relaxed, well equipped social spaces during break times. They can use the computers and wifi, enjoy the reading area with books and magazines, relax on one of the two patios or bask in the sunshine on the breathtaking roof terrace, complete with sun loungers, fruit trees and a shower to cool off.
The course comprises 20 lessons which are all about actively using Spanish in groups of students working at a similar level. The practice-oriented tuition covers all aspects of using Spanish to build students’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
The school caters for all abilities from beginners to more advanced Spanish speakers. Class sizes are limited to no more than 12 students.
Grouping classes by ability instead of age or nationality makes learning lively, international and immersive.
Students take a short written assessment before they travel and a speaking assessment at the beginning of the course to place them in the group most suited to their ability level.
The Summer Camp for Young Adults offers activities over three afternoons and three evenings throughout each week. There is also a full-day excursion every Saturday (please request to stay for an extra night on booking if you wish to join the Saturday excursion). Activities vary from week to week to ensure students who stay for multiple weeks experience a varied programme.
A detailed programme of the week’s activities is announced at the beginning of each week, along with a timetable and meeting points. Typical activities include:
